Hollison Journey

Notes From The Week

on June 13, 2008

I don’t have a specific topic today, so I’m just going to list some news and notes:

* Zach is exactly like Buzz Lightyear. He can fly. He’s good-looking. He’s awesome. He’s from outerspace.

* Don’t tell your best friend to call you when they are in Arizona. They will disregard the time change and call you when they’re about to go to sleep. Which just happens to be 2am your time.

* Today was problem-child day at work. Expense reports, billing, background info – you name it. Whatever I touched was guaranteed to be difficult.

* The Bible has better storylines than primetime. Go read Tobit.

* Sleep is good.

* Monday I got to see some fantastic DFW folks plus some almost-DFW folks. All the cool kids are here and you know it.

* My surrogate baby brother is going to be a dad. Whoa.

* Deception is a hard game to play. But it’s all for a good cause.

* I like books. I like it even more when Amazon doesn’t know what they are talking about and overestimates the time it will take to deliver something. 🙂

The best quote of the week? During a game of questions at bible study, our youngest teen was asked “What three words would God use to describe you?” Her answer: “Mine, mine and mine.” Saints in the making.
